About the instructor
Instructor
Sherridon Sweeney
Sherridon Sweeney taught in Hillsborough County, Florida for seven years before leaving the classroom in 2016 to pursue her Ph.D. in Literacy Studies at the University of South Florida. Her research interests include exploring how pre-service and in-service teacher language can promote or constrain equity in literacy instruction, as well as global partnerships for pre-service teacher development.Sherridon currently works as a Literacy Content Coach for the USF Urban Teacher Residency Partnership Program (UTRPP), as well as the USF Cambridge Schools Experience Study Abroad program. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time outside, and all things literacy.
